3D printing materials
We work with a wide range of materials — from standard PLA for prototypes and models to engineering plastics and carbon-fibre composites for load-bearing parts. If you’re not sure which material is right, tell us what the part will be used for and we’ll advise you.
| Material | Heat resistance* | Properties | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| PLA | ~55 °C | Stiff and accurate with a good surface finish. Matte and silk variants for decorative items. | Prototypes, models, enclosures and items for indoor use |
| PETG | ~69 °C | Strong and slightly flexible, resistant to impact, moisture and many chemicals. | Functional parts, holders, machine parts |
| ABS | ~87 °C | Heat- and impact-resistant, sands well. | Technical parts, enclosures, automotive parts |
| ASA | ~100 °C | Resistant to UV light and weathering. | Outdoor items, signs, parts used outside |
| TPU 95A | flexible | Flexible and elastic, wear-resistant. | Seals, bumpers, cases, rubber feet |
| PLA-CF | ~55 °C | Higher stiffness and a matte surface; more brittle than PLA. | Enclosures and parts with precise geometry |
| PETG-CF | ~74 °C | Stiff and dimensionally stable, matte, with good chemical resistance. | Structural parts, jigs and fixtures |
| PA6-CF (carbon-fibre nylon) | ~150 °C | High strength and heat resistance. | Mechanically loaded and functional parts |
| PC (polycarbonate) | ~115 °C | Very strong and heat-resistant, withstands impact. | Highly loaded technical parts |
| PVA | — | Water-soluble support material that does not remain in the finished part. | Complex shapes with internal cavities |
How to choose a material
- For indoor use, models and prototypes — PLA is the fastest and most economical choice.
- For functional parts under load — PETG, ABS or PETG-CF.
- Outdoors and in sunlight — ASA, which does not yellow or become brittle under UV light.
- At high temperatures — PC or PA6-CF.
- Flexible and rubber-like parts — TPU.
Strength also depends on print settings — number of walls, infill and part orientation. In the calculator you can choose strength from “Light” to “Solid”.
